Lazy Day

I had the day off so Luna and I spent plenty of time cuddling, knitting, and watching TV.  We also took a few short walks around the neighborhood.  It is so nice to leash her up and go for a walk without having to carry her out the door and support her as she stands.  People who pass us don't ask what's wrong anymore.  Instead, they ask to pet her and comment on how beautiful she is (like we didn't know).  Besides a little limp, she appears perfectly normal.

Another nice thing to see is that Luna wants to perform tricks for her food.  I don't want to push her too much so I just let her do the easy tricks like "touch", "spin" and heel position.  One night this weekend I wasn't paying close attention and had left her dumbbell on the floor.  She found it and decided she would like a treat.  I was surprised to turn around and see her standing there waiting for me to trade the dumbbell for her treat.  What a good girl.  We'll have to make a little hide-and-go-seek game out of this.

Who would have thought in such a short time Luna would be almost 100%. Such great news to start the New Year.

I'm glad she's still doing so well! She sounds like a very clever girl. You might find her keeping you on your toes!

Aw .. such a good girl!

Just shows, doesn't it, that our dogs don't waste time thinking 'what if' or 'poor damaged me', they just get on with life, and if they can do something, they just do it!
